San Antonio class Amphib ships -- in a tube?

I seem to recall that someone is now making a multimedia kit of the new San Antonio class ships and marketing them in a little cardboard tube. Anyone out there know who it is, and hopefully contact info?

My wife and I did a lot of our courting in the World Trade Center, as she worked there and I would frequently visit her there for lunch. She got off the subway at Fulton Street two years ago, just in time to look up and see the second plane hit. Now, it’s been announced that the USS New York, a San Antonio, will be built using a symbolic amount of steel from the two towers – 24 tons of it, I believe. So building the new ship has a sentimental value to me.

Larry,

That would be JAG Collective…great folks, awesome kit. You can click through their website from ours, www.modelwarships.com

If your wife worked at WTC, then you’re not too far from me…I run the air museum in Teterboro on the NJ side.

Well, I see the Anchorage class LSD - 36, but not the new San Antonio Class LPD. At least not yet,…

I am still looking for frame/station plans for both.

http://www.scaleshipyard.com/
makes a 1/96 scale fiberglass hull for the LPD - 17.
It runs about $380 dollars. Of course that comes out about
seven feet long at that scale.
Scale shipyard, has fiberglass hulls for several of the gator ships.
LHD - 1 USS Wasp
LSD-41 Whidbey Island Class
LST - 542 a typical WW II LST

Yes, I must have seen a product update on one of their amphibious ships in FSM and mis-remembered it as being the San Antonio.

That California looks great though.
