Has anyone ordered a kit directly from their site? Over a month ago I preordered one of their new IndyCar kits and in response to my emailed request was told they expected to actually ship it my late April or early May. Last week I asked again and was told the kits were still “in production” and they hoped to ship sometime this month. Not having ever dealt with them before I’m unsure if they can be trusted. Does anyone have any insight into the company?
I pre-ordered one of their Indy cars as well. They are solid - I just assume they are a bit behind in production.
I had heard late May, and that they are shipping now. Someone in my model car club got his.

I placed an order with Salvinos JR last week as well. It’s my first time dealing with them, so I understand the uncertainty. I’m hopeful that the wait will be worth it, and they’ll ship out the kits as soon as possible.
Last week they told me they “hoped” to start shipping the kits sometime this week so apparently nothing has gone out as of yet. I’ll post something once I get a shipping notice. I built one of their NASCAR kits and really liked it so with a little luck the IndyCar kits will be nice too.
Looking forward to seeing this show up in the mail especially after the race this weekend. I ordered the Scott McLaughlin kit though lol
I imagine Newgarden’s ride will be harder to get after back to back wins at Indy.

I also got my shipping notice yesterday for Larson’s car but this site wouldn’t log me in and then wouldn’t respond so I couldn’t post. I’m really looking forward to receiving the kit.
Hey Keavdog - Has yours actually shipped or have you simply received a shipping notice? After two days UPS tracking still says they don’t have the package, only that a shipping label was created. Something doesn’t feel right with this. Hopefully the kit makes the wait worth it.
My 2 kits are in the hands of UPS and should be here tomorrow, no worries with Salvinos. The only problem I’m going to have is wanting to build them right away!
Great news is it looks like they are including a full set of carbon fiber decals!
Same here - UPS says on the way and will be here tomorrow by 7:00PM!
Mine still says a label was created and they’ll tell me when to expect it after they actually have the package. That’s two full days after they said it had shipped.
Glad it’s going well for you guys and hopefully it will for me too.

I’m envious. Three days after being told it was shipped it still hasn’t been picked up by UPS and Salvinos won’t respond to emailed requests asking what’s going on.
Today marks day 7 since Salvinos emailed me stating my order was being shipped but they still haven’t actually turned it over to UPS and have ignored three requests for updates. If that hasn’t changed by the close of business later today I’ll cancel the order and attempt to get my money back. I don’t know what’s going on but I do know I’ll never buy anything from them in the future and tell anyone willing to listen that the company should be avoided.
A shipping notification can frequently mean that only a label has been created - not that it has been actually shipped. If you’re going to get this wound up over it, I strongly suggest you avoid pre ordering in the future, and wait for retail.
An hour after posting that my patience had about expired I received the following from Salvinos: We came across an error on all the Indy kits as they were just about to be shipped out. We are deeply sorry about the constant delays on these kits and are working diligently to make sure everybody receives the complete kits they paid for .
Perhaps this is the case but if so why did several people following this post already receive their kits? It took them a full week and three attempts to communicate before they sent their vague response. I requested a refund and have received notice that it’s been authorized. Never again will I order from Salvinos.
I received my kits this past weekend, although I preordered them last November, so about 6 months ago. I’m guessing they are shipping them in the order they were received, UPS can only fit so much in the truck! I’m pretty sure John ordered his quite awhile ago too.
In the box really nice looking kit, we’ll see how they build up!
