Hi Everyone, I have just joined, lol. llwellyn Loftie-Eaton from Windhoek, Namibia, (South West Africa) I used to be a Proffesional Soldier in the SADF, and spent about four and a half years in the Operational area and Angola. I was fortunate to have first hand experience working on almost all the mine protected/resistant vehicles, EG Buffel, Casspir and Ratel ICV’s and as I am a model builder since childhood, started producing these cars. I Scratchbuild, then make molds and then cast in Resin. Hope to learn from you guys about proper weathering etc. Nice to be on your site. How do I post a pic?

I am just a little south east of you here in “the big smoke” AKA Jo-burg LOL.
When you get round to making models of the Ratel 20 and Mfezi ambulance let me know please. I did a stint PF with the SANDF as a Mfezi commander supporting 1 RDLR and Wits Rifles (mech inf.)
As for posting pix, there should be a tutoral somewhere, but I go upload in photobucket and then click on the “get links” , then click on the IMG code, then go to your post-right click and paste.

Welcome! Glad to have you. Also a mold maker and resin caster! (www.modernhobbies.com). Like to see some of your stuff sometime. Hope to chat with ya more somewhere here in the forums. Sounds like most likely cars, eh? I’m an modern aircraft guy mainly but have an interest in autos as well. Maybe I can get some tips from ya later.
