SA-2 Guideline dio

I’m in the process of finishing a scratchbuilt SA-2 Guideline missile with transporter in 1:72 scale…I’d like to put in in a dio showing the missile being transferred to the hard site launcher rail, but have no idea how this was accomplished in the field. I do know the transporter rail pivoted, but how the actual transfer was made, I’m clueless…anybody know how this was done?

Can’t tell if they hand crank the missile over or if the transfer is electric.

Interesting stuff, Philip. What nation is that SA-2 transporter from? Looks like an Arab country, or is it a desert-painted vehicle from the Russian armed forces?

Think these shots are of an Egyptian unit. Not sure though.
Lots of good sites came up when I Googled images for SA-2 including some good shots of the Fan Song radar.

i have seen film of the sa-2 being loaded onto the launcher and it was done by hand crank. however , where on the launcher this was done, i can’t be sure.
