S.M.79-II Sparviero progress.

Here is a Trumpeter kit I picked up that I thought I would share with yall. Its the Savoia-Marchetti S.M.79-II Sparviero in 1/48th scale. Its not finished but the camo turned out nicer than I thought it would. I will post the finished pics when she done.

Thanks for looking.

Outstanding airbrush work Skarpotchi. Can’t wait to see her finished.

Holy Moly!! thats some very very very impressive airbrushin’ its so colourful i love it

keep us posted on your progress

what colours did you use??

Excellent. Now that you’ve inspired all of us, tell us a little about your technique. Did you use masks, or is that all freehand?

Thanks yall for the very kind replies.

duckman------------> The colors are Italian Sand for the base and Italian Olive Green and Burnt Sienna for the camo colors. All Model Master Enamels.

ModelNerd----------->Well its all free hand but I use a Badger duel action airbrush with a hole in the air hose to bring the air pressure way down. The Badger is fitted with a fine point tip as well, not to mention the above mentioned paint gave me No Problems for once.

Heres a picture comparing it to the instructions…I tryed to follow it and finally just started doing what I thought looked cool. Thanks for all the interest guys.

Really beautiful work. Which Badger did you use, if I mat ask?

Great looking camo job! Keep posting pics please.

Cheers,

Eric

What can I say? That looks absolutely excellent. Can’t wait to see her all prettied up with decals and everything else. Keep up the good work! [:D][tup]
