Time to break out the birthday present. My first Rye Field model, my first T-34 based vehicle… Build looks fairly straight forward to be honest, just seems to have 900 holes that need opening up before anything…
Interesting. It looks like they provide the entire T-34 hull and new stuff for the howitzer.
yes, no interior and a gaping hole in the roof that is crying out for filling… so I may well have to scratchbuild something
so box cracked open and started. As the turret isn’t there, and there is a large hole, I decided some sort of basic interior needed to be done. Started with the engine bulkhead. Used primeportal, track-links and a miniart T-34 build to try to work out how it should look

That is such a cool and unique AFV. Looking forward to more!
more progress… no evidence that the floor was like that but decided they would have it raised to allow control cables/rods to run without interfering with the crew… Also started on the front- assume they are some sort of fire extinguisher. Next up, seats and VERY rough control levers…

Well photos of the interior of the T-34 are pretty easy to find online. On the other hand I doubt there’s much on the D30. Would be curious to see what modifications the Syrians made on the vehicle.
Neat nice work so far!
Interesting subject. Nice job on the scratch interior - looks convincing
thanks to a build of the MiniArt Egyptian T-34/85 I am following elsewhere I now have this - left side wall done (needs 2 seats on the left which are the only real part of the actual vehicle I have evidence of but they can wait for the front to be done), went with only 1 fire extinguisher. Right hand side only seems to have a couple of things
Looking good! Every time I see a model or rendering of one of these things, I wonder if the guys who put it together were familiar with the term “redneck”…
seats and controls in (not 100% accurate but fills the space in)… thought I was done but then as there is a machine gun I need to add the spare ammo racks (I assume that is what it is in front of the right hand seat… unfortunately no gun parts for the interior so will need to make “something” I guess.

That interior is looking spectacular!
That’s exquisite.
Although I get a reflexive “Oh bugger, the tank is on fire” moment looking at that.
calling the interior done with the final 4 crew seats… not brilliant and will likely fall out when painted but they add a little to the space…
Amazing work on the interior, I’m envious how easily you can scratch build.
It’s looking pretty friggin’ good to me!
thanks both… starting on the upper hull… a few fiddly fits but mostly it is just falling in to place

That looks great! Looking forward to seeing her with the big gun fitted!
thanks… limited modelling time (would;ve been any way due to the garden fence needing painting) as I managed to fall ~6ft off a ladder and crack my ribs (rear) off a plant pot. Think there is at least one cracked but the pain has gone down… so today managed to crack on with the upper hull… going together well and I am really glad I took time to d a rudimentary interior. Not sure when I will get chance to paint it up (need to paint other models first)

OUCH! That fall sounds nasty- I hope you’re healing okay now.
Still, that’s impressive progress. Such a cool looking vehicle!
