This “airplane”??? must be the work of some of the lesser engineers at Scaled Composites. Mr Rutan seems to favor putting the engines on the backside of the wing.

Yikes… Waist Gunners would sure have a narrow field of fire wouldn’t they? [:O] Two Jerrys would jump the formation, and the “R-17’s” (Rutan-17) would end up shooting themselves down! [:p]

The original image was attached to an email this morning, but I do like the dual vertical stabilizers better. [:)]

Well let me see here,

  1. It will require a tricycle landing gear. Two main gear and a nose gear.
  2. The canard should have three cannon/machine guns on each wing.
  3. Wouldn’t it be possible to have two ball turrets hung below the fusilage in lieu of eliminating the waist positions?

Just trying to think of the possibilities.
