When I saw the title, my first thought was “hello, someone’s pulled out that T-34 in a lake” story that keeps getting rehashed from time to time, but this one is something entirely different.
It seems that 200 modern tanks, T-72’s and T-80’s have been found parked in a forest, unguarded and unlocked.
[:O]Yeah…that’s nuts. I’ts like all the crews just dissapeared into the Twilight zone. Those tanks sat there all winter too–never happen here. Those tanks would be stolen overnight.
I’ll take one as both my birthday present, fathers day present and, Xmas present all rolled up into one. I’ll give it a good home. The best part would be that a certain young speeding driver in my neighborhood (50+ mph in a residential area and a very short street) would be less likely to do that. Ever! Ah dare to dream cheers Dave
I wonder if those weren’t “accidentally” left there in one of the many ex Soviet black market deals, to be picked up by the buyers. A lot of that has been going on since the communist government went into hiding (I’m not at all convinced that it is completely gone).
