62’s have uniformed spacing in the wheels, were a 55 does not.
Not true. As Rob stated above, the T-62 has larger gaps between with the two rear road wheels than on the front three. The T-54/55 has a larger gap between the first two road wheels. Look at the ID chart you posted for confirmation. Hatches vary on different models of the T-55 and T-62. Another recognition feature is the bore evacuator. On the T-54/55 it is at the muzzle end of the gun tube (100mm Rifled Main Gun). On the T-62 it is 1/3 of the way back from the muzzle (115mm Smooth Bore Main Gun). Of course seeing how the tanks in the movie were armed with Western 105mm guns (bore evacuator 2/3rds of the way back from the muzzle) this does not apply…[8-|]
