Russian Aviation pictures from Latvia!

Here is a private collection of aviation in Latvia it is pretty big and I have put them all here for you guys to see as it’s not something you would see in everyday life outside of Eastern Europe. These aircraft have seen better days but still look pretty good, enjoy!

The above two are mig 25 landing gear.

I could not get closer to the Backfire, and yes it is the worst mig 29 in the world lol, theres only about half of it left.

Sure don’t recall seeing anything like that in Mississippi, thanks for sharing!

Not something I see north of the Mason Dixon line, either ![:O]

Thanks ![:D]

No problem glad you like them, it was a scorching hot day and after years of the sunshine they’re all faded, but I always thought the Mig-25 was painted grey, however up close it was just the colour of the metal, well that’s the case for this one anyway.

Wow! Great shots! Thanks so much for posting them. I especially like the cat “armament”!

Actually had a tear in my eye seeing the condition those birds were in. Someone should do something about that. Thanks again for posting them!

Wow! Those are some great shots, love the MiG-25 and 27! And looks like about four different MiG-21s? I too wish these old Cold Warriors were better taken care off but I’m just happy they weren’t sent off to be scrapped.

No MIGs in Maine… nice pics !

Lol, well I think the guys at the place were restoring them, they were working on a few of the aircraft here and there, well on an old APC as well. There were Mig parts everywhere so I think when I go back there soon I will see whats what, the guy who owned it previously was busted by police for fraud so another guy took over and there seems to be some work getting done around the place, and yeah the cat was Mig-25 security watching my every move lol.

Sweet collection- I envy you for the experience! I’ll never be able to weather something to those conditions. Did I see a Su-22 in there as well?

Oh yes, x2

That Hind with the butt-ugly greenhouse is interesting… there’s a lot to look at and take in from these pics, so a great big THANK YOU for posting them.

Yeah I thought so too but I am guessing the newer versions are possibly more expensive, but that MI-6 is a monster the main wheels are about 3.5 feet high!
