Here are some progress shots of the lead rso,s im doin for the normandy dio im workin on. ive made the tarp frame on one from wire and made the tarp from tissue then painted it with a mix of valejo paint and pva glue. the pics show it recently finnished and so still wet, when it dries the shine will go and the tissue will shrink tightening it all up.The RSO with pack i have painted in single colour as most of these were (i havnt seen one done in camo).both these still need pigments and fine details added.
They look really good. I love the paint and weathering. The one with the PaK mounted looks to have flat spots on the wheel though. Is that intentional?
Lead Metal? sounds old. who makes them. I honestly thought Mili-cast or somebody who does odd stuff. RSO’s are rare in this scale, kinda like hens teeth.
All the best Andy and good luck with the dio, If the RSO’s are anythhing to go by the rest will be great altogether.
Hi matey - great stuff!! Some nice looking cats underway in the background too.
ps I think these ones are made by SHQ. White metal so not quite that nasty lead stuff. Ace also do some super RSO kits but they’re quite a bit more fiddly.
They are by SHQ based in Basingstoke UK, yes they are whitemetal and they look great being so small, not the best for detail but nice models all the same,. cheers 4 comments. Andy.
Nice work on the little guys Andy, going to be great additions to your dio when finished. Just don’t chew on them (or swallow filings) and you should be fine in the lead department. [;)]
