Rosie the riveter

This is a tool used to apply rivets (small indentions) in model aircraft.Does anyone know of a U.S. supplier of these tools?

I would like to buy a set,but there is a month and a half wait from the maker.Any info would be greatly appreciated.

The latest issue of Tamiya Model magazine has a page on using it. According to them, a czech gentlemen hand makes them and you have to email him directly to order one. No suppliers. I don’t have the mag with me at the moment, but if you need it let me know and I’ll look it up.

Do you mean a pounce wheel?

MicroMarks sells pounce wheels:

Or just mail Petr Dousek (Czech gentlemen) about ‘Rosie The Riveter’ and you will get info about the prices, shipment and payment methods:

Looks like Hasegawa has one out now, reviewed at Hyperscale… http://misc.kitreview.com/tools/rivetmakerreviewjh_1.htm US$15 from Japan

Thanks for the replies… yes they are basically pounce wheels. The difference is,that the gentleman in the Czech Republic has several different teeth ratio’s.Not just one but four and a fifth one soon, and the ratio’s are for 1/72 scale up to 1/32.I’ve e-mailed him, gotten quotes and all that stuff… (thanks for the links!) But he has a 40 day waiting period before shipment.I was just trying to cut the wait down by seeing if there were any U.S. distributors of these things.Thats all. Many, many thanks to all who replied. In case you have no idea what what I’m talking aboout here is a link to a webpage of his tools:

I saw one on ebay Monday, he starts bidding cheap ($14), but it was up to $50 when I saw it. It’s gone now, but I bet he puts another on soon. http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZjohn_vttb2QQhtZ-1 This guy sells them as a set, or one wheel at a time, I think. I bought my resin saw from him. Very nice. Keep an eye on his ebay store. SteveM
