Yeah I had earlier said that the Romulan war was in the future of Enterprise but after a quick check, the Romulan War is only a couple years away. Enterprise does have seroius continuity problems but it looks like they would have been able to show the war if they had lasted two or three more seasons. Bummer, I wonder if that was their plan?
what do you mean Woody Enterprise is in its 4th season
If I’m not mistaken the show is currently in 2153 and the Romulan War doesn’t start until 2156. It also lasts for four years. It would take Enterprise several more seasons to get to that point unless they jumped ahead three years(nuts to that) and if the arch started now it would take several years to cover even in a minimal fashion. Maybe the next series could be based on the Romulan War? Star Trek: The Romulan Wars, anyone?
how many seasons did the Dominion war cover in DS9 3 or 4 years ? and maybe the next star trek show will have Daedalaus class starships and cover the early Federation klingon wars
I just had to throw in a few things I’ve noticed, and remember.
DS9 already covered the diference between Klingons in TOS and how they look in the rest of the series and movies. Well, it’s alluded to, anyhow. Also, those of you into gaming, it’s in one of the source books. Something about physical manipulation to make Klingons look more human, for purpose of infiltration.
And, on Enterprise, is the Temporal War over? I missed the the second and third episodes of this season. I always felt the Temporal War could take care of most of the continuity issues. As I recall, Picard was suppose to be the first captain to encounter the Ferengi, when he was on the (Stargazer?) - whatever his first command was. It was covered in at least a couple episodes of TNG. Also, there had been mention about the first encounter with Klingons turning very badly, and a war because of it. That was the reason for the Prime Directive. Enterprise screwed both of those in the first season. I believe within the first few episodes.
Yet - something about the Temporal War could have everything reset before the series ended. That’s how I always rationalized it whenever they were doing something funky with their storylines.
Anyhow, it seems thhat Enterprise is getting better. Episodes have been getting tighter - though I’m still unsure about the 3 episode arcs they’ve been doing. Too bad it’s all over before my birthday. Just as it was getting good.
Of course, there’s always that ‘movie’ angle…
Ok, I stand corrected then. I hear the TOS USS Defiant is in a upcoming episode, can someone shoot me a email as to when? I dont get here too often, so a email with that info would be appreciated.
