Roden Fairchild AU-23A Peacemaker

Hey guys, It’s been about 2 years since I’ve built anything. I’ve been a shameless slacker.

True to the modelers creed, why would I want to get back into the hobby by building something outta my kit stash when I can buy a brand new kit.

I just noticed that Roden has come out with a 1/48 Fairchild AU-23A. I have a soft spot in my heart for aircraft of this type.

I’ve never had any experience with Rodens products. What are your thoughts & experiences with their kits?

I look forward to getting back into the hobby & posting with yall.

They’re not bad at all. The newer molds are better than the older ones. They do tend to have some ejector pin marks, but their detail is pretty good, and their fit is usually on par with higher end kits. I built their Mohawk & it’s a very nice kit-not perfect, but very good for the price. The detail on their WWI 1/32 aircraft is very good.

I was at King Hobby’s down in Austin this weekend and saw one in the box. It looks like a good high-quality offering from Roden. FSM says they are doing a review soon.

Thanks for the replies guys. It ought to be a fun kit.
