Roden 1:32 Nieuport 28-C1 difficult build

Been at this for about 10 months now, the struts are giving me fits…cause they don’t fit very well :upside_down_face: the cabane struts suck, I busted them up and opted to buy a second model to replace broken parts :upside_down_face: Its been suggested to either pin the struts or scratch build some. problem is pinning would would be difficult with these soft plastic parts. Using pressed slide tubing? any kind of deviation from the original part configuration would most likely botch up the wing alignments? WOW… nice kit other than the poor parts interface. any advice here?

Having the jig is a good start. Looks like there is paint in the depressions where you are trying to fit the cabanes to the fuselage, that will cause problems. Maybe carve some struts from basswood or other hardwood and pin them?
Your rigging turnbuckles are nice.

thanks for your advice, good point about removing the paint, will do.The turn buckles are fragile they snap off easy I think I can get them to hold up to rigging. I will spend the extra money for the metal turnbuckles next time. The gaspatch turnbuckles look accurate as far as scale and detail I am very impressed
