The coolest thing I’ve ever seen in a long long time…I’ve gotta build me one of these in the future! [:p]
And here’s the website:

Wow! And they don’t even sound nervous when they fire that complex (probably balsa or something) model into the air! I certainly would be, lol.

Cool vid! Thanks!
That’s probably not too far off from what the real deal looked like, too!
Shhuuuuffftttt…and away!

That was totally awesome. I can think of a lot of things to use that motor on, my wifes little dog comes to mind[}:)]
Guys, that is the type of project that should humble us all.
Heh…thought you all might’ve liked that…[:D]
That was a 1/6 scale model in the movie - and I’ve found the website that sells that particular kit. It was originally designed for a petrol engine tho. I’ve seen another r/c Komet with a gas turbine engine!!
Anyhow, I’ve also found a place here in the UK that sells a 1/23 scale model (40cm 16" wingspan) Komet as a free flying balsawood kit and they sell the rocket motors to go with it! Now, I wonder if this kit can be modded to r/c…?

With current range of micro servos, I bet it could.

Wow thanks for sharing that clip… that’s awesome. I have to agree… that’s probably as close to seeing the real thing as we’ll ever get.
