Robertomoe's 1st truly finished tank (pictures!)

This is the Soviet BT-5 fast tank built out of the box from the Italeri kit. I lost the front hatch so I cut out a peice of cardboard and painted it just as a substitute. The last picture came out weird but it shows the highlighting better than normal exposure photos.

looking good and great “repair job”!!!

Nice! [^]

I built this kit a number of years ago Roberto … and it’s a bit of a bear to build.

You’ve done alright with it.

Good work on the tracks, subtle weathering and the details stand out nicely.

Small critique … you have a bad joint right on the nose that could use a little filling. Or some well placed mud to cover it up.

Good improvising on the hatch !!!

Thanks for sharing with us and I hope this won’t be the last tank we see come from your workbench.

Looks good

that is a truly excellent tank.

I like the BT series, nice job on it Roberto. Have you built any of Eastern Expresses BT-7?

Looks good Roberto. The subtle weathering is just cool. Neat trick on the replacement of the hatch, too.

Nice job overall.

you did a really good job, way to go

Great job! But what is the scale?

[:I] Wow. Thanks for the feedback. Yah this kit is a monstrosity. So much guesswork on the fitting. No, tigerman, I haven’t built any Eastern Express kits but the Italeri kit is really a zvezda model (if that comes close to Eastern Express.) Unfortunately, Zvezda had to make sure everybody knew…they put they’re logo right on the bottom of the hull, but it was easily butchered off.

13b20: It is a 1/35th scale tank. But it’s so small it can fit in between a panther’s tracks.

P.S. I didnt use my airbrush for anything. EVERYTHING was HAND PAINTED

Nice job, Roberto. Hand painted?? Wow! Very impressive. I hand painted just the tension spring on my Firefly last night and they aren’t as smooth and even as yours. Terrific job! I really like the way you did screen and shovel, too. Congrats on your first build for the dark side!!

Great looking tank, Robertomoe

You did a bang up job on the painting and subtle weathering…way to go!

Regards, Dan

Very nice Roberto! Thanks for sharing.

Nice build!

Mike

Looks better than mine, be proud. I will have three finished hopefully by the end of the week. Hope they turn out just as good as yours. Keep it up, looking forward to more.

Great job. Would not even known that hatch was cardboard had you not mentioned it. Look forward to yur next one.

Great job, Roberto!
I think it captures the clunky, slap-dash look of the original vehicle perfectly.

Nice job Roberto! Looking forward to seeing more of your stuff.

Eric

Neat little tank… I wouldn’t want to fight in one though…NO WAY!

Good Job on the kit. I like the engine screen a lot… Keep up the great work, I’ll be looking for more pics in the future of your work…
