What is wrong with the Hill AFB Museum’s B-24D as seen from this photo?

External nose gear doors, all the early models B-24 (including Ds & Es) had internal opening nose doors.

Bingo! I would have thought that a museum would have gotten it right since they acquired a complete aircraft instead of a bucket of parts. Even the R-M 1/48 D model has been wrong since its inception.
The R/M D kit is based off of their earlier B-24J kit. Probably where the error came from.
