DML Kit 6104
8.8 cm Panzerschreck Infanteriekarren
Kit is 5 Figures and 1 ass with the trailers and 'shreks.
Base is plaster. Terrain is textured plaster, ground lichen, static grass, sand, and anything else I could throw in. Trees are woodland scenic kits drybrushed to highlight bark but no “leaves”. The trees are there to blend the background (photo) to the base.
Water (there is a little bit under and to the left of the small bridge crossing) is woodlandscenics pourable non-heating type.
I think I am done with this for right now because I have other kits that I want to finish also, I will come back and decal the helmets and add other items open for suggestions…???
Your best of the three as far as I’m concerned Muzzleflash. This one has a really nice balance to it, there’s not too much happening. The poses of the figures are relaxed and realistic. The backdrop of the waterfall flows (excuse the pun) well with the dio.
The figures and the horse however are still a little on the shiny side and lack a little depth. The depth can be achieved by using washes to darken up things like the creases in the uniforms, the gaps between fingers and even the mane on the horse. This all comes with a little practice and experimentation so it will come to.
I really like this one, well composed and just a pleasure to look at. Keep up the great work !
I’m with Shermanfreak on this one love the backdrop with the waterfall, the figures work real well in the atmosphere that you have put them. But the shine coming off their uniforms and the horse gives it kind of a toy like appearance.
Beautiful work! I agree with RAF120 regarding the gloss finish. I use only matte finishes except metal and some leather( boots, cartridge pouch, etc.). Keep at it and send us more pics.
