Rigged Fokker E. IV

Here is ICM’s 1/72 scale fighter flown by Max Immelman. I built this one overnight and stopped at the rigging part! [V] I had to paint the markings on because the decal sheet fell apart once in water. It was fun doing because I didnt have to pull out the airbrush and it was small enough to get done in one night.

Any remarks are welcome…!

Regards, Dan

incredible dan. well done.

joe

well done mate thats cool

Heyyy looks very nice, I like to see that you got a steady hand painting all the markings!
Well done!

Dan,

A one night build! It takes me one night just to get the model out of the box. LOL.

Very nice job on the markings. Good build!

Richard

Very nice build, especially for an overnighter. But why did you stop at the rigging ?

Great little “overnighter !”

I don’t blame you for stopping at the rigging ! My eyes would have been shot working on a 1/72 WW I fighter for long enough to complete it in one sitting. Do you plan to eventually rig it? If you do, make sure to post the pics !
Well done !

that is way cool dan. i want to build some of those type planes one day. later.

looks pretty good from here.

Thank you everybody for your kind words…!
Ok , Rick and Bill, here’s my first feeble attempt at doing rigging lines with stretched sprue:

Thanks again everybody, Dan

Hey Dan, not feeble at all. Rigging looks great & really finishes the model off. Just be real careful when you handle cause the only thing harder than rigging is fixing rigging.

Dan, that is just incredible. you must have a spider working with you. the rigging is “primo”. semper fi, mike

dan nicely done. very nicely done.

joe

Great work on an old favorite, Dan.

Excellent Eindecker (sp?) bro-- very nice!

very well built and rigged man!
i love the paintwork.

Nice job on the rigging, Dan ! Much better lighting in the pic, also. I can now see the great job you did on the guns & cowling, too ! (I hope my question about the rigging didn’t make you want to rush to add it. You’re critical about your ability to do it, but it looks fine ! A lot better than I could do !)
Well done !

i love little WWI birds, and yours is no exception!!! great job!
