Wanted a different scheme than black, so its olive drap.
What I got so far, painting almost done, but those D-day stipes are driving me nuts, and the front landing gear fell down, and can’t balance the aircraft right nomatter how much pennies I stuff it with.
I’m going to have to apply another layer of olive drap spray, after the bottom done, but the biggest problem mit be too much paint, and its covering the details. and yes it is going to be in aworkshop diorama with equipements and a truck.
Well I would have suggested using a airbrush to paint the upper and lower fuselage since that would have kept the paint buildup at bay. Now with that picture you shown I would suggest using MM faded olive drab for obviously the faded olive drab look.
Nice to see a Widow in something other than “basic black”.
If I could make one suggestion, it’s better to go light on the paint. It’s far easier to apply multiple light coats to get the coverage you need than it is to remove paint if you apply too much.
For the stripes, start the entire paint job by painting the base white, then when dry, mask off for the black stripes and then mask off the entire block and paint the main base colour.
