i’ve been modeling since the 1950’s and always wondered if the revell sherman was genuine. i’ve found records of sherman production figures for the m4 composite hull with either the 75mm gun or the 105mm howitzer, according to the list, at least 500 of each were manufactured .the vvss version that was pro duced.the first, totaling 500 for each version. producttion was switched to the hvss variant totaling about 300 for each version. that’s roughly 600. i’ve found only one photo of a m4 composite hull with a 105mm howitzer and hvss suspensin. the picture taken from the front,so it is hard to distinguish if it is the ‘real deal’, i found no photos of the other hvss version with the 75mm gun. there’s plenty of the earlier vvss varients in photos, but none of the revell sherman. any one find anything?
