I got Revell’s 1/48 P-51D the other day and I was looking at the decal sheet. The background color for “Big Beautiful Doll” is white. I looked up refrence pictures and it is red. The decal instructions also say the background color is red.[:S] Did anybody else come across this when they built this kit?
I’ve built 2 in the past, and have 2 in the stash, all are red. If you want another set, I got a couple laying around.
Don’t worry about it. I’ll just use the originals.
Jetmodeler, I ran across this problem as well. I built the kit twice, one set was correct, one was not. [^o)] I also noticed, and this could just have been my error (most likely) but I had a difficult time trying to fit all the decals along the fuselage. When I was done, it was quite tight. Again, not sure if this was my error or not but it just didn’t look right.

I would just have revell send you another sheet, they will do it for free just log on there website and find your plane click defective or missing parts fill it out and your sheet should be there in about three or four days. I had a similar problem with my B-25J Mitchell.
