I only wanted to build a model with scribed panels… [:'(] sniff sniff
Yup, I also read a little about the story behind this Bug! I also laugh a bit when I read where it came the idea to name the plane “The Bug”.
Hans… too late for that… I already started another Revellogram kit a Do335 and already finished the … mmm… how to say it to not make you mad… let’s say… I already made some adjustments to the panel lines. LOL.
I guess I’m out of the “familia” now. Oh well… I’try the Tattaglia family.
DoogsATX nice Bug there! I like it! I agree with you, I have 2 Tamiya kits and one Academy, both are awesome kits, but Tamiya it’s just in the Olympus of the kits! I haven’s built any of them but just saw the kit when opened the boxes I was jaw dropping. In fact this Revell kit was my very first Jug builded. And I planing to build another one. I started with this one cuz well as I said I felt nostalgic and besides kind I had enough of “shake n bake” kits like eduard and hase, I wanted to have fun modifying, the stuff I modified in this kit was, machine guns were replaced with hipodermic needles and arranged in the correct angle, the support of the bombs, little scratch in the cockpit, panel lines, the bombs were also modified a little, and added the ID lights from the transparent sprue where it was molded the cockpit. I think that’s it.
Stoutfela, Thank you for the comment! I guess I was lucky, the decals in my Revell kit and the second I bought (to be builded later) were quite good, the register was great and beheaved very good too. As with Doogs I agree with you, Tamiya Jugs are kick ass kits, I have 2 to be builded. I have the Academy too, not the Gabreski. I was planing to build one of them as a latin-american fighter, no, not brazilian or mexican, don’t get me wrong, brazilian and mexicans jugs have amazing schemes, but I have seen a lot of them builded, so I was planing something less usual… like a cuban Jug! and now I have the decals to build one! [:D]
And again, thanks a lot for the comments guys! I really appreciate it!
