Revell is dead and gone. Monogram is dead and gone. Revell Germany is dead and gone. Hobbico is dead and gone. In the collapse of Hobbico, a group of German investors acquired the name of Revell, and many of the molds they felt were most desirable. Much of the rest of the molds that were not wanted by the German investors were bought by Atlantis Models in the USA. This German company is just ‘Revell’. There is no such entity as ‘Revell Germany’ any longer. They are Revell, period. Anything ‘Revell USA’ is just marketing and branding for the German company. There are no kits being made or designed in the US any longer, just by the German entity. No doubt there were significant amounts of old stocks of kits acquired in the Hobbico collapse, which is why you are still seeing the ‘same ol kits’ still on store shelves today. Unwrapping and reboxing them would be pointless, and pricey.
