Revell Tri Motor

I just purchased the most recent release of the Tri Motor, and I was wondering if there were any aftermarket repops of the Island Air Lines decals that came in an earlier version (1980’s?) of this kit? If someone has that decal sheet and would be willing to trade it for the newewst one that I have, I would be interested in that as well.

E-mail me at fomocomav@yahoo.com if you want to trade.

Thanks!

I don’t know about any aftermarket decals, but I’ve given my self a headache trying to think of ways to deal with the wing leading-edge seams! Anyone have any suggestions on how to fix them and still not mess up the corrugations too bad?

Ive seen the real thing and it has a serious seam on the leading edge! So, dont mangle the corragation on your kit…the seam should be there. Just be careful removing the wing from the sprue so not to make a problem for yourself.

…we`re talking about the Ju-52 kit, right? If not…forget what I just said…lol!

Draw Decal makes them.

Thanks for the headsup. I am going to do mine in a “what if” as a C-9 pursuit group squadron hack in the Philippines hauling supplies into Bataan. In reality, there were scrapped by 1936, with the last one up in flames as a machine gun test subject.

No, Len, sorry. I asked about the Ford tri-motor. Thanks!

But I will remember that when I build my Ju-52 kit!

The Army Air Corps flew the Trimotor in more than one capacity. It was one of the first air ambulances to transport wounded soldiers to hospitals.
