Santa, Thanks for posting this. Love the conversion of the Revell “Pirate ship” back into a Dutch Frigate of 1633. Would this be the Utrecht, a 32 gun warship?
What are some of the changes involved?

P.S. Niels, I see you have 4 Constitutions in the stash. Nice. And is that steam powered warship in the background of all your Photos the USS Hartford ? The old Aurora kit?
good to here from you Nino. Yes it’s the Aurora Hartford–I have too of them. The Constitution’s are the Revell 1/150 ones. As to the changes to the Revell 1/72 Black Swan pirat ship, to make an acceptable sailing ship model of it–well—cut open the bulkheads at the bow and stern of the lower gun deck , relacks the raidius of the stern to alow for chase cannons , lower and exstend the quorter deck , cut away the stern and side galleries , move the stern windows flush with the stern board , make three sided stern side galleries , add two cannon in stern and four cannons in forcastle , raise forecastle deck , rearange mane deck dietails ,and exstend main deck through forecastle , replace the 1/72 capstan raped around the main mast with a 1/96 one below the back edge of the sterncastle , cut door and cannon openings in the raised front face of the forcastle , add a mast to the bowspret , add foot ropes and sterips to the yards,and ropes to raise up the front of the sails,and the bottom corners , well thats all I can remember at the moment.
O–cut openings for the ores and add ores from a heller viking ship and ore port doors. Add a cabin against the stern board " the windows are from a 1/150 heller superbe"

Nino–PLEASE post a picture of the Utrecht on this thred for me. I had thought the Disnie imaginers basses the black perl on the Hof van St Janskerke. I would like to see if yours is a better match.
GMorrison—to continue–the 4 ships boats are from a 1/96 Constitution, as that is how I remember the seen in the tresher cave in the first movie. the bell cuppala was moved from the quorter deck to the back edge of the forecastle , I cut away the skylight on the quorter deck and patched the hole, because it was in the middle of the poop deck cabin door. the Posieden figures on the stern where cut off at the waist and switched right and left. That saewead dietail with the face on the stern, was cut in half horizontaly and the bottom half lowered down to the stern windows to make room for the poop cabin windows. I am makeing the ships lanterns shorter, and nairower at the top. Well-thats all for now.
