I have already got my order in for this and is now due in June Here in Europe and August in the US (I believe.)
Having seen build ups of the test shots This follows in the JU-88 and Arardo 196 stable and looks to be a cracking kit for those of us who are 1/32 Luftwaffe fans AND have the room for a beast with a 70cm wingspan.
Official Retail Price in the UK is £59.99.
DON’T GET RIPPED OFF CHAPS
Anyone know how to get a message to Revell that I want a DO17 to complete the collection?
Might have to add this to my small but growing 32nd German aircraft stash. Still not got the Ju 88 yet, i assume you have. Just want to get a second 109 and a 262, and i’ll look into these larger ones.
Have you ordered yours from hannants by any chance.
I have the Arado 196 on order at my LHS but thats about as big as I can go. I wish I had enough room for the HE-111 I always thought that it was a good looking bomber.
I have the JU88 and it is a cracking kit. My HE111 is on order with my local HS near me in Halifax, Yorkshire I get a good deal with them and a discount on a pre-order.
If you are looking for a 109 look at either the Dragon 1/32 or the Trumpeter 1/32 and for the 262 it just has to be Trumpeter’s 1/32 offering. A stunning kit can be build just OOB with that IMHO - BUT don’t foget to weight the nose!
R Fluhr,
Again, the Arado is a cracking offering from revell especially at the price but maybe it is bigger than you think! I was surprised when I started mine to see just how big it was.
Don’t panic. So long as you take your time paint first, Assemble then touch up you will have a showpiece for your cabinet. Take particular care with the cockpit as it is easily seen through the huge canopy - take care with that as well as you build it up. Use the fuselage to put the canopy together so all the angles are correct as the canopy is in flat sections.
Also some weight in the floats won’t come amiss!
It is a pity that you haven’t room for the HE111. I am sure that you’ll be missing out on possibly “kit of the Year!”
I know hannats have it down for £59.99. I have just ordewred the hase 109G-6, i was originally going to get the eduard 109E, but decided a few weeks ago to get the dragon kit. And yep, i was planning on the Trump 262. Nice to get more confirmation thats the kit to got for.
I am not going to be able to build any of my 32nd kits for another 2 years or so, until i get a hobby space at home big enough to display everythiung. But no harm in stocking up.
Thank You for the advise snapdragonxxx: I was so glad when I heard there was going to be a 1/32 scale kit of the Arado. My father asked me to build a 1/350 scale Bismark for him years ago and I was very intrested in the tiny little planes that were in the kit. So I have been looking forward to this kit for a long time. I will start a thred on the Arado when I get it.
Ye, i believe you are right. But i decided to go with the Hase kit as i had read some great reviews on it. I ofrdered it last week from Sprue, yet another kit i couldn’t find in the UK.
