I stayed up late and messed around with the cockpit last night. This is as far as I got. I have to stop now and head out to Walmart and grab some lead fishing sinkers so that the 335 doesn’t sit on it’s tail end.
Yea Toshi, that’s what I’m talkin about ! The engines look great .
Good Job on the engine paint and wash.
Some nice work there Toshi. I take it the two pits are separate rather than one large one.
Yes, it’s two separate pits. If you opt for the single pit, it looks like what you see at the bottom. The second pit sits a bit higher. Here are both pits side by side.
Here is a quick update on the first cockpit. I understand that the second cockpit was to be for a trainer scenario. With that in mind, they utilized the second cockpit and turned the 335 into a night fighter. Of course it was not to be.
Thanks to you jay jay!
Thank you sir!
You are correct there, the A-12 was to have been the trainer version with the Nightfighter being the B-6 which also had longer wings. The rear cockpit for the B-6 was also different and had a small bubble canopy.
Some more nice work there Toshi.
I so enjoy our discussions in regards to the historical authentic knowledge that we share on FSM forum. I want to thank you for this. Here I have made some ballasts for the tricycle landing gear so as not to create a tail sitter. Here are the adjustments thus far.
Toshi - Jay Jay’s points about detailing and wash application in the engine bays really did the trick. I have been building longer than you have been alive, I never thought of doing that scribing next to plumbing and wiring. Great bag of tricks these many members have, here I am at 74 years and learning something often from this excellent forum. Thanks, Jay Jay.
Your “Mix Master” is coming along great, but what will you do when the worlds model supply is gone? At your build rate it won’t be long.
Love following your builds.

Yes, each day my eyes are open to new horizons! I’m the ant that finds a grain of sugar in the sea of sand.
Im sure the never ending supply of kits will continue to grow, thank you sir for the read and reply. It is much appreciated!
Toshi
You are one fast builder Toshi. And getting better each time!
Patrick,
Oh I wouldnt worry about the world’s supply of kits drying. Modelers like you and me who’ve built up a stash would never finish each and every box anyway. lol
Thank you allan, that’s very kind of you sir!

It’s gratifying to know that the tips i have passed along are helping other modelers improve their products. I’m no genius by a long shot, I’m just “paying it forward” in thanks for the generous advice I have received from others, but thank you guys just the same.
I get upset when you ask questions and no replies are given. These techniques were never ours to keep as a secret. It has always been shared and passed along through the generations. That’s how it’s suppose to be, you sir Mr. Jay Jay are one of many, a leaders in this fact. Other forums seems to keep these things secretive to no avail. That’s what makes FSM Forum such an exclusive place. Thumbs up!

An exciting Monday night football game tonight, made even more exciting building this Do335. While the Green Bay Packers lead the Kansas City Chiefs in the second half, I have assembled the wings and the unique tail of the Arrow. Please see below.

Looking great so far, Toshi!
It’s slowly getting there, thank you for the read and reply.
Toshi
It’s beginning to look like a Pfeil. Have you seen this?
