I was wondering if anyone has tried to get broken parts replaced from these guys in the UK? I have an EA-6B Prowler with broken clear canopy parts and have emailed them twice with no reply.
Any ideas how I could get this sorted as I am itching to get started on this kit but it seems pointless without having all the parts.
I have emailed Revell support europe twice with no reply, and the US site does not offer regestration outside of the US. If someone over there could order these parts for me I would gladly pay for both sets of postage and donate some monies to thier fav charity via paypal.
RM is usually pretty good about replacement parts. Have you tried contacting Revell of Germany? Plus, is the Prowler model still in production? I do know that if the kit is no longer in production they cannot send replacements. If you still don’t have any luck with them you might have to look for a vaccu-form replacement, or fix the kit part. I think there is a way to glue them and polish out all the scrtches but I’ve never had to try it before.
Tecs, if the part is repairable… take some Testors Clear Parts Cement and try to get it inside the cracked area… let dry for 24 hours…with very fine sanding film or paper sand over the cracked area until it is smooth then take some Future or Brite and brush it over the entire canopy to cover up repaired area and scratches. Try this it does work.
Alas 2 of the parts are completely smashed and the third one is in two pieces, I will have a go at calling them but my German is about as good as my martian.
Revell consumer service reps are always really buisy. Besides A.) the model is out of production and they could not get you the part anyway and B.) They only ship to USA and Canada C.) Revell of Germany parts are hard to get becuase of Germany, they never ship them out in time.
