Revell/Monogram F-105D -- Completed!!!!

A couple of weeks and here she is… This is an old Monogram kit I found at the hobby store on the consignment shelf. I thought it had everything but… I did manage to make a few replacement parts, added the Eduard PE set and an old set of Microscale Decals. She turned out pretty good… You be the judge… ENJOY!

Yup you are right…pretty darn good is right. Well done!

Yep[#ditto]

This is one of my favorite aircraft and Monogram kits is a nostalgic one for me . You built a fine looking model from an old kit that i know has a few fit problems . Very good paint job also .[tup]

WOW GREAT Build

Nice looking Thud. You did a great job on it.

Looking great, JR!

Free hand camo?

Nice Job. Very neat and tidy. [8D] Thuds are great looking planes.

Very nice great work on the camo.

Outstanding work, rossjr! The camo is excellent and the front office is a work of art! Are the seat belts/harness p.e or scratch built? You have a real winner there, thanks for sharing!

OUT-STANDING! That paint job is how I hope mine will look (when I do an SEA F-4E). Love it!

Mitch

Excellent, excellent job. Thanks for showing how good the older, but still viable, Monogram kits that I grew up with still are.

The seat belts are pe and came with Eduard set I used. The set itself was pretty extensive tearing down the seat and reconstructing it, cutting up the engine can and reconstructing that too… It’s a great kit (PE Set) for anyone looking to build the Rev/Mon reissue, I recommend it…

Very nice. Well done !!

Regards, Rick

Looks great. I’ll have to remember about the PE when I dig my kit out. Edit-tried to fix the quote. It was fine in the preview but as you can see…

Very nice build, Ross! The work you did on the cockpit looks especially good.

Mark

Agreed - the cockpit looks terrific!

Looks great! You did the “ole Thud” proud! One of my favorite Vietnam era Warbirds!
