Revell-Monogram Devastator

Hello modeling community;
Just bought the 1:48 R-M Devastator/historical book. Seems like a good kit. Fairly simple instructions and ok fit. Only concern is that it has raised panel lines. Are the weathering techniques the same or are they different?
Thanks much
Steve Gorder

Well it depends on how much weathering you want to do?, I’ve built the kit a few years ago and rescribed the panel lines on the fuselage but didn’t pursue it on the corrigated areas on the wings, and I weathered it by dry brushing thinned paint, and sludge mixes and it came out fairly well and a few people wanted to know what Pastels I’ve used on it, but I never used Pastels so, it’s really your option, on how far you want to take it, also I painted mine the Blue-Grey over White scheme that was used in Midway,

Should be a good build nonetheless gorder. The raised panel lines are unfortunate, but Revell/Monogram parts fit nicely. I’m looking forward to building mine probably next year. I’ve already pawed through my kit cannibalizing the interior wing supports for my SB2C Helldiver. Thank you Revell/Monogram part replacement program! [:D]
