Won this in a raffle drawing today at a show and wondering how good of a kit it was?Can anybody give me any insight?

Like any kit put out by Revell in the late 70’s and early 80’s it is a basic kit. Not much wheel well or cockpit detail. With a little scratch building and AM seats it can be turned into a nice model. The canopy doesn’t fit very well but if you build it closed up it doesn’t look too bad.
It is best to glue the aft section to the forward section and not try to show off the engine, which isn’t very accurate to start with. Everyone I built had a lot of seams that needed filling and there are some fit problems with the landing gear. With trimming, sanding and test fitting I was able to get them to stay in position. The gear is very thin and will bend and bow in with the weight of the completed model. I built two or three and have another two or three in my stash.
I second everyting Berny said. You will want to replace the Atolls with some AIM-9Bs if you have any spares. They will be more accurate that what the kit has. It is nto abad kit and with a little TLC can really shine. It was the only game in town for a big Fishbed until Trumpeter came out with their kits (Fishbed C and J)and when built will look like a MiG.
