I am wanting to start building models again after a long layoff (last finished model was 2001, but that has not deterred my stocking up on kits)
I purchased the 1/72 B-17 last week as a kit to get me into the swing of things, i guess i am looking for anything i should be on the lookout for. The cockpit looks a little odd compared to my 1/48 B-17, but we shall see what happens. I am excited to build again and try out the airbrush to see how much that helps!
I am beginning to think i should have purchesed a different B-17, but then again, this is only a precursor of things to come!
I’ve been back in the hobby a little over a year, and I’m having a blast. You’ll enjoy your airbrush- just be sure and give yourself some leeway for practice and learning. It’s not hard to learn the basics, so you should be blasting paint in no time. Be sure and post pictures of your progress!
I have not built the Revell Germany B-17 but I’ve read that it is not state of the art. If you run into problems just ask on the forums and you’ll be sure to get lots of help. Keep us posted with lots of progress pictures.
