Revell EA-6A Wild Weasel????

anyone build/built this exact kit?

i just came in contact with it, and am very interested in it, but not the price at $45 a pop!

is this just the same as in intruder kit? any differences?

I’ve got the old Airfix 48 EA-6b but have not built it.

Rob.

if i remember correctly, in a wild weasel book, this EA-6A was the same airframe as the A-6A, but crammed with all sorts of electronic gear… If I’m not mistaken, i think a few of these EA-6As had the capability to launch an AGM-45 Shrike.

Man, i would love to build this kit! where did you find it? and is it in 1/48 or 1/72? [:D]

1/48 if i told you where to get it, i couldnt get it myself. all ill say is i’m getting it from a guy in australia and there is only one for sale…currently. if i find more, ill let you know.

lets both pray there are more out there since Revell DID make it

heres what i’ve been able to find on it…

From what I’ve read in the links you rpovided, it’s the same basic kit as any Revell A-6, but with different parts for the underwing stores (jamming pods/generators and the HARM missile). I have the A-6E TRAM version still in the box. There’s a choice of cockpits in this kit, so I guess the one that’s not used is for the EA-6A? Best check your references on that one though:

The kit is nicely detailed with raised panel lines. Personally I don’t mind that but it’s your decision if you want to pay $45 for it. The fit is generally pretty good, but you will need some sanding and filler. Hope this helps some.
