As recall these trucks weren’t even offered here in Canada. This one must have been a siezure. Looks great, love the decals.
Thanks for the feedback, guys.
Based on the photos available, it looks like the CBSA vehicles are now rocking an updated version of the same markings, with a ‘wedge’ shape blue background and bolder more ‘logo’-style lettering. But the more elegant ‘blue ribbon’ style was what first caught my eye, so that’s what I went with…since it was essentially a WHIF project, anyway.
Missed this one too! Man you really nailed it with the details on this thing. Wow!!!
nice work - seats looks excellent. What did you use to get the leather effect?
Thanks, Gents.
Just good old-fashioned dry-brushing. I basecoat with Tamiya acrylics, then dry-brush with Testors ‘square bottle’ enamels. It works a treat. [:D]
Grabbing out an old thread… That’s one very nice set you made I love the attention to detail. Currently I am building a Dodge Ram VTS in 1:18 scale, starting from a die-cast car that originally even was the LWB version. I’m designing and printing quite a few 3D parts for it, however, there is one thing where I need help. There is a sway bar mounted on the rear axle, but how is that sway bar attached to the chassis frame? In your picture, it looks like there is no additional bar that connects the sway bar and the chassis, so is the sway bar tilted? (25-30°) I haven’t yet found a picture of the chassis/underfloor taken at an angle. Could you please take one more photo that shows the rear suspension?
