I have I have an old Revell 1/8th scale Harley-Davidson 1200 Electra Glide that is supposedly a “California Highway Patrol Bike.” The one I have was released in 1975, and I know this kit was released also in a different box in 1969. I am not a Harley expert, & may question is this-what year bike is represented by this kit? Is it truly a 1200 Electra Glide? Thank you!
Post a pic of that puppy and Ill tell you exactly what it is. Mainly the engine part if poss. If its a ,'69 it will be what is called a ‘generator shovelhead’ , as there is still a generator for the electical system on the front of the engine- the horizontal cylinder across the front of the engine . I can supply you with parts book pix of some aspects of the bike if you are going for correction or super detailing. Pix if poss please.

It’s also a pretty good approximation of a FLH-P as used by the CHP with one exception. IIRC CHP mandated kick starters on all bikes until they were unavailable from the manufacturers. (read electronic ignition)
The first Kawasaki’s had them, because mine did and it was a '79. My first assigned motor was a '74 FLH-P and it had a kickstarter also.

If you build that puppy put some foam in the hollow tires. They WILL collapse over time. And watch the side stand, it is REALLY fragile.
Also for the CHP version the two big lights in the rear will be amber. The only red lights are the two on the front, either side of the headlight.
Agentq- I take it you’ve built the kit? Any other quirks about this model?
Sorry for the delay, I’ve been rather busy lately. The sidestand is VERY fragile. If I were to do it again I’d fashion something from aluminum and polish it. The fit of the wheel halves is “problematic”. I wonder if later issues corrected that or made it worse. As stated the tires will collapse under the weight of this beast.
That’s all I can remember, it’s been about 30 years since I built the last one.
