I was reading through some information on this kit, what are “raised panel lines”? and how do I deal with them?

Raised panel lines are just that - the raised lines molded on the the parts to represent the panel lines of the aircraft. These are in opposite to “engraved” panel lines that newer kits possess.

Have built three of those kits over the years including one for a buddy who was a flt eng on FiFi and did it up as the CAF bird. It’s a fun kit to build but finding space for it can be a problem.

Yeah from what I remember of it it needs about an acre to sit on!

I have one of these in my stash, but I will build it up as the B-29 my uncle served on from Saipan, the unit codes will be easy to make as a decal, but the nose art will be something else…

If you wouldn`t mind some advice. This model will be extremely tail heavy. Cram extra weight in every nook and cranny forward as possible. Just when you think you have enough, add more.

I also have one of these in my " Stash ". I did send off for the aftermarket clear canopies. The tail heavy issue is a concern that I have as well. Whenever I get around to building it I will make sure that I use as much lead weight as possible up front to keep it sitting on that nose gear. Thanks for posting this. Keep us updated. Bob
