Revell B-25J

Currrently working on this kit and came up with a problem when dry fitting the fuselage together. If I place the cockpit assembly in its place, the forward bulkhead extents past the end of the fuselage halves. Is this correct or should the bulkhead be flush? I am fairly sure the cockpit assembly is together properly. The fit was good.

Also, does anyone know if the Eduard Express Mask for this kit is worth $4.95 from greatmodels.com?

Thanks for your replys.

swfong, I have built three of these kits and Yes, the bulkhead should extend past the edge of the fuselage. That acts as an attachment/alignment piece for the nose assembly. Once you attach the nose piece you will see it all fits together perfectly.

Thanks bigfoot01. The instruction sheet is not very clear on this. Thanks again for the help.

Yup, your OK, its supposed tp be like that. However, just wait until you see the gap between the engine narcells and the wing. Thats not OK and you may be using a fair amount of putty.

Far as those masks, I can’t tell you for this kit but I used Eduard masks for the Revell Corsair and they were a little too large. But large is good, just trim them down a bit.

I’m not sure if those are the same masks supplied with the Accurate Miniature B-25 but when I used those, they were WONDERFUL! Sorry. Didn’t mean to shout but I just wanted to say how great they worked for me. I wish all kits came with them. Like Scott said, they can alwasy be trimmed if need be. They’re great to work with.
