Revell Arado Ar 196A-3

This is my Revell 1/32 Arado Float Plane done with the Big Ed pe detail set and some scratchwork. I entered it in the 2012 IPMS Nationals in Orlando, Florida and won Bronze in the Large Prop category.[:D]

Congrats on the Bronze! That is one beauuutiful looking build - i can’t believe it didn’t take first!

Can you post some more pics? I’m keen to see what’s under those opened panels

Oh heck yeah!! That looks awesome! I love the finish, and the 'pit detail looks top notch. Never knew their wings folded like that - perfect if one is lacking in display space. Congrats on the award too. It was well deserved! [t$t]

Looks awesome to me the cockpit detailing is top notch

Yes sir! That’s a great lookin’ model. Congrats on the bronze; there must have been some kinda stiff competition! A prize-winner for sure.

Thanks for the nice words. I worked on this beast for a good 4 months. The cockpit is super detailed thanks to all the pe parts. The engine is a kit by itself being very detailed. I’m having problems with photobucket but here’s a couple more:

Stunning build, congrats on the Bronze.

A well-deserved award- this looks absolutely beautiful. Cheers!

Awesome work…if you only got Bronze I sure would like to see what the other two were, as I find it hard to find it hard to beleive there could have been much better

Thanks gents for all your comments, it’s really appreciated.

Hercmech, what can I say? I saw some really outstanding models that were not recognized. I believe they had over 400 contestants and something like 1700 entries in all scales and categories. Talk about being overwhelmed!

That is an outstanding build! And congrats on the Bronze in such a demanding competition!

Nice! I didnt even know Revell put that out...I have to hunt one down. Congrats on the bronze…really sharp looking build.
