Just picked up a 1:48 Revell A-6E at my LHS. I havn’t seen one of these in some time. Was it recently re-released?
It was, I picked up 2 of them last week. I’ve even found an “E-Z Mask” for the canopy on Rollmodels.com. I have yet to call to see if they have them in stock though. I also picked up an E/A-6A Wild Weasel too, also re-released.
Looking around on Wolfpack-D.com resin and noticed they are about to release a ODS TRAM update ! No pics yet, but I’m going to wait to start mine till it’s released. Hope to fing some lo-viz decals too.
The VA-35 markings with the new release, are they full color or low vis style?
The VA-35 markings are the hi-viz gray over white scheme.
Just got mine over the weekend. The tooling is the same as the earlier release. I guess I was hoping that they might include some different weapons like they did with their latest F-14B and -D kits. I would have traded some laser-guided weapons for the Harpoons.
BTW, the instruction sheet indicates that you should open holes in the bottom of the outer wing panels - that’s a carry-over from the EA-6 kit and is incorrect for the A-6E.
