So I enjoyed building the 1/144 Globemaster (1st. plane in 15 years) that I decided to go after one of my favorite aircraft as a kid, the A-10. I picked up the Revell version in 1/48 as that was the only version they had. I Googled, Yahooed, and searched this site and have a few questions. I have found several sources for resin cockpits just fine, however, does anyone make closed decelerons as resin replacements for the kit parts? I also can’t seem to find the deeper intakes for the engines. Any clues?
try spruebrothers.com they may have something for what your looking for
Im pretty sure no one makes them, not that I know of. Just make 'em. Thats what I would do. If you have a little resin, bass wood and clay then it shouldnt be that hard.
Believe it or not, I found this this morning. I’m not sure if it’s still available but you never know unless you ask. Send a message to the hyperlinked e-mail address at the bottom of the page. The most he can say is that he doesn’t have anymore and he’s not making anymore.

Let us know what he says!
Can’t help you with the resin parts but I will say you need to weigh down that nose significantly.
Regards, PWB.
Thanks for the replies guys. Being a new aircraft modeler I still have a lot to learn about the various aftermarket companies and such. Any recomendations on the better resin cockpit set? Thanks for the e-mail address. I will shoot him an e-mail and ask about the decelerons.
No weight needed in the nose. I have two cats so it will be mounted to a brass rod and wood base like my 1/144 Globemaster!
IMO, the cockpit of the Revell 1/48 Warthog doesn’t need a resin cockpit set. It’s very nice as it is!
