Nice work on the “Vette”. I have always had a soft spot in my heart for that line.

I have a hard time to chose which one I like the best, this one or a 63 'Vette. Saw a silver split window last sunday and man it both looked and sounded good!

Another stellar build. I like the 69s, but I’m a bigger sucker for the 1963-67 body style and adore the Split Window coupe.
| I agree!I haven’t built a '63-67 Corvette coupe for over 20 years.Which kit do you guys recommend? |

The Revell 67 Corvette Roadster is a nice little kit. I’ve built one, and I’m going to build another and tart it up with some PE. AMT makes a 63 Roadster. I think the only coupe I’ve seen is the Revell 1/8 version of the 65 model. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a 63 split window.
I hear the Accurate Miniatures 65 Penske/Hall Sebring 12 hr GS Coupe is wicked, but it’s pricey at $40. That includes PE louvres and a PE detail kit, though.
AMT had/has a 63 split window. It’s packed with goodies as you can build it stock, drag and custom. Even comes with two engines. The drawback is that it’s an old kit with a simlified chassi that has everything but the engine molded in. But it’s the only 1/25 styrene split window as far as I know.
This is how it looked

Cool, I didn’t know or had forgotten. I’m at that age where it could be either!
I’ll have to look for the split window kit. I don’t mind the simplified chassis, as once built my car kits tend to hold down shelves for the rest of eternity.
Revell will be coming out with a 1963 Corvette, part # 85-1948.
I too am partial to those split windows since my older cousin had one many years ago.
Looking forward to more detail than the AMT version… [;)]
Great work on the '69!!!
I have the AMT '63 and it’s still one of my favorite old kits today. It’s silver too.[:)]

| Nice Split-window 'Vette!I do like them in silver,really classy color! |
