Revell 1/72 JU-88

Just won this on Ebay it is definitely looks to be late 60’s since it isn’t the photo of the finished model on the Black and white box of the late 70’s and early 80’s.

So what are the views on the kit seeing as I haven’t seen the Revell 1/72 kit built up.

Not sure on the Ju-88 but given it’s 40yr old I would suspect it’s pretty basic, no frills. I’m not even sure what variant it is, doesn’t look like the A of BoB era (which I wish Revell would do a 1/48 like their new 1/32). BTW, can’t wait to see what the “Exclusive Record Offer Inside” is all about. [;)]

well from what I can see all the paperwork is included. And also from what I can see is what looks like parts for a pair of JUMO engines for the JU-88. I figure Hans probably built this kit(not this kit) and cashed in on the record offer. BTW this kit in actuallity will probably be pushing 50 years of age which makes it the oldest kit going into the stash but then again I have 2 Revell kits from 1968 still in the MBoA brown boxes.

I didn’t know Revell even had a 72nd scale 88…doesn’t take a lot of imagination or experience to know what issues a kit that old is going to have…If you wanted a more up-to-date and detailed kit you would have looked into the recent Hasegawa offering…

This is the record that the record offer was about.

I think this kit is actually rare if Manny didn’t even know about it .

Wonder what is their issue with shipping to Canada (AKA the Great White North)? The Canadians I’ve had contact with were just fine.

Yeah, what’s up with that hoser, ehh?

God haven’t heard hoser in over 20 years since that great canadian movie BEER.
