Well, at least I am calling it finished. I bought this to practice using Tenax- I used it to glue almost all of the parts. I had problems with the canopy- it isn’t my best- I had more leakage under the tape than ever- but I didn’t have the energy or patience to re-do it. Kit was build OOB>

That is a well executed splinter scheme.[Y] Were the centerline bombs painted RLM 76? I like how you got the balkenkreuz wrapped over the dive brakes.

Hello Dave,

I checked it out on the net, and the 500 lb bombs were either light blue or a dark grey- I just chose the blue.

Excellent job on the Stuka! I really admire the noticeable panel lines and weathering without being over stated. I would say it will place well at any model contest. [Y][H]

Nicely done! I have the kit in my stash, this makes me want to beak it out. Did you encounter any problems or was it an easy kit to put together?

Thanks! The kit was actually very easy to build, pretty well everything fit without any issues- I was kind of surprised. My initial intention was to buy a cheap model (it cost only $15) to practice on, but it was coming together nicely. The canopy is not the greatest- many parts of the framework are not there, and there is little to no cockpit detail, although the instument panel is quite good. Using the tenax was great- there were hardly any seams that I had to fill, but there were some gaps that required stock card to fill at the wing-fuselage junction on the belly. I’m glad I found a tutorial by Hawkeye that helped alot.

Really nice job on the Stuka. The preshading,camo, wash, and weathering are really well done.

Is the Tenax similar to Testors liquid cement?

Well done and great splinter camo on a classic kit, pard… The only suggestion I have is that you might want to run a razor saw down between the rear gun barrels… Goes a long way towards improving their looks…

Thanks to all for the nice comments.

Hans- I did separate the barrels, this can only be seen when looking above. I had visions of the barrels breaking off halfway, so I did a minimal separation.

Model Geek- I have never used the Testors Liquid, Tenax actually melts the plastic and when you squeeze together the parts(i.e. fuselage halves), a small bead of plastic pushes up from the joint, and when removed after it sets, there is no seam.
