I have already posted a few pic’s of this model but I thought I would add a few more plus a cool short video if I can figure out how to post it. Again, this kit was built OOB with the exception of True Details wheel set. Painted with Alclad 2 and Tamiya Bare Metal Silver.

Great looking B-29!
Just wondering, what is the actual wingspan of that model in 1/48 scale? I have the B-17 (doesn’t everybody?) but I’ve never finished it because I have no place to put it when its done - all of my available shelf spaces are too small.
I see that you’re in AZ. Did you get a chance to see the CAF B-29 when it was at Deer Valley airport a year or so back? It was really neat to see it, their B-17 and B-25 parked together on the ramp - really put the size differences into perspective!
I used the decals in the kit. Not real sure who actually made the decals
Winspan is 33 inches, so it is fairly large. Haven’t figured out yet how or where I’m going to store or display it.
Hi jschlechty Yes I did see FiFi when it came to Tucson with Sentimental Journey. But the main reason I built this was I attended the CAF airshow in Midland TX last October and all of the CAF Acft performed. But I really liked FiFi.

Beautiful finish. I thought first picture was of a real plane…lol. Very convincing. I have one of these in the stash. I suppose I’m waiting for the right markings (and space).

Absolutely fan-freakin-tastic! I’ve built two of those wonderful Monogram B-29s in my life. Put the two of them together and they still don’t equal how nice yours turned out. I might get myself a 3rd and hope and pray that it turns out nearly as stunning as yours.

I used 3 different shades, Polished Aluminum, Dull Aluminum and Stainless Steel. Thanks for the compliment!

simply gorgeous. I’ve been lugging this kit all over the continent with me for over 30 years now…I guess I bought it without giving any thought to where I’d put it when it was done. I still don’t have a place that’ll accommodate it, so I guess I’ll continue lugging it around til I die.
