Revell 1:48 Panavia Tornado IDS

So, this is my first model ‘painted’ with an airbrush. Didn’t pick the easiest of models to do this on, but hey, in for a penny - in for a pound  Everyone has to start somewhere right, and after a little google and youtube help and practise with food coloring on paper towels I just dived in and firgured I’d work it all out as I went along.

Didn’t turn out too bad in my humble opinion. Unfortunatley, got some overspray on it but it isn’t that noticable (overspray from black rattle can whilst black basing a tank and not really paying enough attention to what was obviously too close in the background), c’est la vie…live’n’learn.

Maybe I’ll start a WIP one day, but I tend to just dive on in and forget about taking pictures until it’s either too late…or I’ve finished.

Comments / suggestions / critique welcome as they will help me progress in this wonderful pass time - tho my wife often calls herself a modelling widow once I get a new model and shut myself away in my shed of an evening and build away!

Cheers for the kind words and encouragment. I’m still very much in the "taking baby steps’ stage of modelling…I look in awe at the other works displayed by you guys and would love to get half as good in what I am able to do.

Beautiful! I’m building that same kit now as an Italian bird. Those intakes are a pain to mask and paint!
