This is a new boxing from Revell’s 2018 tooled kit. Pretty disappointing with several ft issues. Canopy, wing to fuselage fit and landing gear. Not a fun build, BUT it does come with RAAF decals. 30SQD, Kiriwina, Papua New Guinea, 1943.
Despite the fit problems, you still produced a fine looking Beaufighter.
Question on your photos - did you apply a filter to them? They don’t look black and white, but not full color either.
And the Beaufighter is the airplane that got me back into this hobby back in 1995. It had always been a favorite of mine, but as a kid I’d never seen a kit of it, let alone built one. I found myself in a K-Mart store one afternoon, where I happened to stroll down the toy aisle. They had a bunch of kits. When I spied that big Revell 1/32 (ancient) kit, I stared at it for a bit before grabbing it. I walked out of that store that day with not only the Beau, but also a 32nd Revell P-38, and Monogram’s He111 (another I’d never built but always wanted to), a Bf109, and a P-40, and a bunch of supplies like paint, glue, and a knife. I have been building ever since spying that Beaufighter.
Photos are done under 2 photography soft box lights, colour photos, no filters ![]()
I agree with Aggie, despite some issues, your Beau turned out really good!
I didn’t realize that Revell put out a Beaufighter until now.
Thank you for sharing!
Happy Modeling,

You overcame the kit issues masterfully. A beautiful example of a Beaufighter!
It truly does look great! Every kit has issues. I built the ICM Beaufort and had issues with the engine cowls fitting.
