Revell 1/32 F4U-1 Corsair

This one has been waiting patiently to be finished for a while now. The object was to replicate the Classic Leynwood artwork from the original issue box. Here is the finished product - now on to the ME-109!

Beautiful build!

That looks great. Figure really looks good too.

Thanks guys!

Great work on a classic!

How did you do the prop?

Bucksco, Hi. I have the same question as Aggieman. I know there is a company out there where you can buy them, but not sure who they are. Any help would be appreciated. Thank much. AARDVARK Really great build

The prop is a clear plastic disk that was cut from a sheet on a lathe. The blade blur was done as a decal and applied to the back of the disk. The yellow tip blur was airbrushed. I tried a number of different methods and this one seemed to look the best. It is a harder effect to achieve than I anticipated!

I concur with all the kudos.

Handsome build of my favorite WWII fighter.

Where’d you get the clear (plastic?) rod?

Ahh. My favorite fighter of all time. You did a fantastic rendition of the box art! I love it!

Your friend, Toshi

Hi Mike. The Clear rod is half inch plexi rod that I purchased at a local plastics supply company. I oredered a length and had it cut into 8 inch segments.
