I stumbled across the Griffon PE set on the DragonUSA website today for the type VII Cand D versions for this kit and was blown away by the PE sets and the shots of the Revell kit that they are designed for…there was a build-upof the kit w/ the PE attached and I had to order a set and the kit…
DragonUSA has the PE set for about half right now that it normally goes for…thru tomm…
Anyone have any experience w/ either of these kits???

I have built all three; they are beautiful kits that I did not feel needed aftermarket products. They are a great build OOB.

Cool, seems that the type VII D is no longer available…
That is really too bad. The VII D is an interesting variant that should be available. Also too bad is the lack of the Type IX in all of its variants!

DragonUSA—better hurry—I believe the sale is thru today or tomorrow only…the one on sale is for the D model but is identical to the kit for the C models sans decals but plus parts for the mine compartment…normal cost is twice that much…
The U-boat kits are also getting hard to find…about $25 if you can snag one…C model is about all I have seen available…
